CASSANO IRPINO, SANT'ANGELO DEI LOMBARDI AND MONTELLA - (AV)

Irpinia is a land rich in water, dotted with numerous mineral springs including those of Cassano Irpino. The best known is the Pollentina spring, where the water flows pure and rich in oxygen, rising to the surface to form a suggestive show of geometric shapes. Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi instead, it houses one of the most important examples of Gothic architecture in the South: the suggestive Abbey of San Guglielmo al Goleto, place of worship and pilgrimage destination of this rich Land of Faith. Montella, whose inhabited area is dominated by the ancient castle, is a place known for the production of the famous "Castagne del Prete”And custodian of monumental complexes and places of worship symbol of the province of Avellino.
